What is SSC CGL eligibility criteria?


sir my qualif. Is B. A. With geography and English . Which of the post i am eligible fos ssc cgl I can't qualify Physical because my height is 5ft 3inch

eligibility criteria for SSC cgl :

NATIONALITY/CITIZENSHIP:-

A candidate must be either:-

(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the Ist January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

AGE LIMIT as on 1st January, 2013

Category of posts - Age limit

Inspector of Income Tax/ Inspector (Central Excise)/ Inspector (Preventive Officer)/ Inspector (Examiner)/ Inspector of Posts/ Assistant Enforcement Officer/ Compiler/ Divisional Accountant/ Auditors/ UDCs /Tax Assistants/ Junior Accountant & Accountant :- 18-27 years

Statistical Investigator Gr.II :- Not exceeding 26 years

Assistant/Sub Inspector in CBI:- 20-27 years

Educational Qualification:-

i) Compiler:-Bachelor's Degree with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject from any recognized University.
ii) Statistical Investigator Grade – II Bachelor' s Degree with Statistics as one of the main subjects.
OR
Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics( with Statistics as a papers studied in one year/two years/all three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects.
OR
Bachelor's Degree with Economics ( with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects.
OR
Bachelor's Degree with Commerce (with Statistics as a paper studied in one year/two years/all the three years as the case may be) as one of the main subjects.
iii) All other Posts: Bachelor's Degree (Graduation Degree) from a recognized University or equivalent.

Mode of Selection:-

After the Examination and the Interview /Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test, wherever applicable, the Commission will draw up the All India Merit List for each category of post/State and as many candidates as are found by the Commission to have qualified in the Examination shall be recommended for appointment for each category of post/State upto the number of unreserved vacancies available, taking into consideration option for the posts.
The Commission will recommend the candidates in the Merit List on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and interview(wherever applicable) and preference exercised by the candidates in the Application Form for different Posts/States at the time of Tier II/ Interview/Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test depending on the number of vacancies available.

Eligibility criteria for SSC CGL:--

The aspirant must be an Indian citizen.

The age of aspirant must nit exceed than 26 years.

The aspirant must hold a Bachelor's Degree (Graduation Degree) from a recognized University or equivalent.



The candidates will be selected after the Examination and the Interview /Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test.

Dear..

SSC CGL Eligibility criteria is as follows :-

1. A candidate must be a graduate, however if you are in Final year the also you are eligible but you have to produce the marksheet of Final year at the time of submission of document after selection

2. The university from which the candidate is graduating must be a recognized university. You should check the list of unapproved university at UGC site.

3.Minimum Age limit :- You must have minimum 20 years of age on august 1st of the year in which the exam is going to be conducted

4. Maximum Age limit :- You must not exceed 27 years of age otherwise you will not be eligible for the exam

5. Relaxation :- Relaxation is given to reserved category which is as follows :-
OBC can apply upto 30 years of age that means 3 years age relaxation
sc & st can apply upto 32 years that means they are getting 5 years relaxation

6. No. Of Attempts :- There is no limit and you can try as many times as you want but the only condition is that you must fulfilling the criteria.

7. Subject :- Students from any stream and any subject can apply for the course.

SSC CGL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA IS AS FOLLOWS :-


A candidate must be a graduate
Graduation must be done from a recognized university
Age limit is 20-27
No relaxation to General candidates
Relaxation is given to SC ST and OBC candidate
No minimum percentage limit
Final year candidate are also eligible for the exam

Subjects :- Maths, GK, English and Reasoning

SSC is Staff Selection Commission and it conducts CGL Exam which is Combined Graduate Level Examination for various posts in Central Government Offices.

Educational Qualification for SSC CGL Exam:

Graduation in any discipline is required for most of the posts.

For Statistical Investigator and Compiler posts you must have Graduation in Mathematics or Statistics.

Age Limit:

General Category - 18 to 28 years

OBC Category- 18 to 31 years

SC/ST Category - 18 to 33 years

Those who are PWD category will get 10 years of age relaxation.

Examination Pattern:

-Objective Type Paper of 200 marks in TIER I

-Paper I and II of 200 marks each in TIER II (Those applying for Statistical Investigator there will be Paper III of Statistics).

-TIER III will be Skill Test or Interview according to the post.

So be well prepared for the above stages if you want to clear the exam.

In order to appear for the SSC CGL(Combined Graduate Level),you will require to meet these Eligibility criteria.

Educational qualification :-
-->>You should be Graduation pass out with any stream from recognized university.
-->>If you have distance degree then your degree should be approved from the DEC(Distance Educational Council).

Marks :-

-->>For appearing in SSC CGL Your minimum marks in Graduation should be 50%.

Age :-
-->>Your minimum age should be 18 years.
-->>Your age should not be above 27 years.

Age Relaxation facility :- You will also able to get the age relaxation facility ,if you comes under the reserved category.

IMPORTANT :- The last date t apply for this exam for the year 2013 was 13/02/2013.So you can apply for the next Year.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam
SSC - Staff Selection commission conducts the Combined Graduate Level Examination every year for various vacancies in Government Departments and ministries.

It has two levels viz. Tier-I and Tier-II for the selection of right candidate the job. These are Objective type written test which is followed by personal interview and medical test of the candidates.

Following are the eligibility conditions for appearing for SSC CGL examination:
• All Indian Nationals are eligible. Apart from this subject of Nepal and Bhutan.
• Candidate should be between 18-27 years of age on the closing date of the examination. (Relaxation in age as per Government rules)
• Educational Qualification :
o A graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
o For the post of Compiler and Statistical investigator applicant should have studied Economics/statistics/mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects at the level of graduation.

• Female Candidates :
o Height 152 cms.
o Weight 48 Kgs.
o Walking: 1000 m in 20 mins.

To apply for the SSC conducted Combined Graduate Level exams you need to fulfill the below eligibity



Educational qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Pass in any stream

SSC CGL – Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination.

This exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

Eligibility criteria for SSC CGL Exam ~~


Candidate should have done graduation from a recognised university.

Age should be between 18 years to 27 years.

SSC conducts CGL exams for various posts and the age required is different for different posts, which are -

1. Sub Inspectors in CPOs – 20 years to 25 years
2. Assistant / Sub Inspector in CBI – 20 years to 27 years
3. Statistical Investigators – Maximum 26 years
4. For all other posts – 18 years to 27 years.

Upper age releaxation for OBC is upto 3 years.

For SC/ ST , it is upto 5 years.

For PWD it is upto 10 years.

Stages of the exam ~~

The exam is conducted in three tiers -

Tier I
Tier II
Tier III


Tier I and II consist of Written test

Tier III includes Interview

Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

(SSC) Staff Selection Commission conducts an entrance test for non technical groups ‘C’ and non-gazette posts of group ‘B’. SSC conducts a Combined Graduate level Exam and SSC Combined Higher Secondary Examination for various recruitments post.

SSC Eligibility Criteria 2013

The eligibility criterion for SSC (Staff Selection Commission) is mentioned below:

SSC Combined Higher Secondary Examination

SSC performs combined Higher Secondary Exam at (10+2) level. The selection for this exam is based on the written test and on performance basis candidates are selected for skill test.

Qualification Required

The minimum Qualification for SSC Combined Higher Secondary Examination is Matrices. For Combined Graduate Level Examination minimum qualification, a candidate must possess a degree of Graduation from any recognized University.

Age Limit

Candidates must be a citizen of India, Bhutan, Tibetan refugee, Nepal or a person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, and Kenya etc.

For general Candidates, the age limit for SSC is in between 18 to 27 years as per the government rules.

For SC/ST Candidates, there is a relaxation of 5 years in the age.

For OBC Candidates, age relaxation is up to 3 years.

For Physically handicapped candidates, age relaxation is up to 10 years.

Selection Procedure

Eligible and interested candidates can selected on the basis of Common Written Exam, Interview, Skill Test and typing test.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria :

Nationality : Citizen of Indian

Educational Qualification : Bachelor's Degree in any stream from a recognized University

Age Limit : Min of age limit 18 years & max of age limit 27 years

The upper age relaxation as per govt rules

3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates

5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates

SSC Stands for Staff Selection Commission conducts the Combined Graduate Level Examination Once in a year. This year exam notification has been already released. Minimum Qualification is required to apply for this examination is that candidate need to holding the degree course from a recognized Institution. If you are holding then definitely you are eligible to apply.

This examination is conducted for recruitment of various positions like Inspector of Income Tax/ Central Excise / Prevention Officer / Examiner / Assistant Enforcement Officer / Divisional Account / Sub- Inspector / Junior Account / Sub inspector in CBI / Statistical Investigator Gr.II.

Eligibility Criteria ::

Compiler :: Degree with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as subject from a recognized University.

Statistical Investigator Grade II :: Degree with Statistics or Economics or Mathematics or Commerce from a recognized University.

All the other Positions :: Degree from a reputed Institution.

Assistant/Sub inspector in CBI :: Age should be between 20 years to 27 years at the time of appearing for this examination and Upper age limits is applicable.

Statistical Investigator Grade II :: Age should not more than 26 years at the time of appearing for this examination and Upper age limits is applicable.

I was passed my b.tech final year exam in July 2013 .But I filled up the form of cgl 2013 and complete both pt and mains exam and now documents verification is there .am I eligible for 2013cgl
