A CEO stands for Chief Executive Officer. It is probably one of the best positions every service based employee dreams of living with. A CEO of a company is basically the head of the firm that drives it, its operations and looks after almost everything that is required for it to function properly.

It is obvious that since the position is a top most for any company, there are many aspirants for the same too. In fact there are people who wish to become a CEO right from the start of their career. But the interesting part is that there are no steps to become a CEO. Instead there are few basic habits that have set the CEOs apart from the rest of the corporate population. They are:

1. Early to Bed and Early to Rise:

Its an old saying however seldom implemented. But the effect of this habit is long term. Be it health or planning, waking early helps in everything. It ensures that you have enough time to prepare for the day, think, make plan of actions and more. Thus, try waking up as early as you can and for that you have to be in bed early too.

2. Follow a routine:

There is hardly any CEO that can survive being unorganized. Its an integral part of a CEOs lifestyle to adopt discipline and organize himself/herself. Be it family, health, work, meetings, recreational activities; a CEO is always having one eye on the watch.

3. Minimize wastage of time:

Time is a valuable resource and so utilize it in the best possible manner. Time once gone would never return and a CEO knows this by default. He/she would never waste it on things that do not matter much but on things that are worth investing time in.

Apart from these 3, there are many other factors that play key roles in determining the fortune of a CEO. Be honest, frank, outspoken, have good communication skills and if you do not have then consider developing it asap. Moreover, work with good people, educate yourself from the best colleges and get a job that has a promising future. The day would not be far when you can see yourself working as the CEO of a company.
