what is syllabus for ies and what sort of questions are asked from english and gk

Hello Sanjeev,

For IES syllabus first please mention the branch-like ece, cse, civil etc..

in general, IES syllabus is divided into 2 parts-
*Technical (related to engg.branch you are opting)
There are 2 papers for Technical-one objective and the other subjective-type..

*General ability(consists of general English + GK)
There is only one paper for this.

If you want to know what type of questions are generally asked from English and GK, then i have attached IES-paper of year 2009 of general ability.
