Every Jobs have different eligibility but you want detail about MTC Department, where two types of Jobs for Engineer is:

1. Assistant Engg - BE Degree in related subject
2. Junior Engg - Diploma in related subject

Age Limit: 30 Years (Max Limit for General)
SC/ST Get 5 Years Relaxation (35 Years)

As per the state govt norm the age limit for different category are mentioned below:

General:21 to 35
OBC: 21 to 38
SC/ST: 40
PH (Orthopedic): 45

Before applying you need to get the requisite cast / disability certificate to get the age relaxation.

The age limit in case of government jobs are same for all region candidates. The normal age criteria for government jobs are as follows:
For General Category: 18 years to 30 years
For OBC Category: 18 years to 32 years
For SC/ST Category: 18 years to 35 years
For Physically Handicapped: 18 years to 40 years
For ex serviceman: 18 years to 45 years
