I know that the maximum age limit for general category candidates for a state government job is 36 years.Is the same true for a central government job as well?Please clarify.

No, my friend this is not true for central govt..

The maximum age limit is 30 years for general candidate to apply for Central govt. job.
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.
So, if your age is under 30 years then you can apply for central govt. job..

see, the maximum age limit for central government job for general candidate is 30 years.

but see, if you are experienced people or highly educated people then age will not matter for you to join in central government job.

also you will be get as a good rank jobs in central government job.

Actually the age limit is not same for state and central government in general category,it depends on which organization and which post and elgibality for that respective post.

You better to keep on check the central government jobs on sites or in employment news paper and the age limit,if you are elgible please apply with out hesitation and doubts.

Sir, I am 39 year old State Govt. servant, now i am eligible for KAS examination

I am a 34 yrs old, Scheduled Tribe lady working in the state govt for the last 8 yrs in a good post but I am interested to try and crack the IAS exam. I know age relaxation of 5 yrs is given ST candidates but I want to know if there's any age relaxation for in service candidates ?

->There are a lot of MEDICAL ENTRANCES EXAM and Most have them their different criteria for the admission of candidates into the courses.But the most famous in INDIA is CPMT exam and Every state conducts it's own CPMT exam for the admission of candidates.

->This CPMT is also a MEDICAL ENTRANCE TEST and it stands for combined pre-medical test.

->THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR UP CPMT EXAM IS:
1)You must be a citizen of india and a domicile of a particular state for the particulat CPMT EXAM.

2)You must be a 10+2 pass Student with science subjects.

3)The minimum marks secured in 12th must be 50% for general category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC category candidates.

4)Your age must be above 17 years.

5)Reservation of seats:

SC 10%, ST 2%, BC 15%, Hill areas 3%, Uttarkhand 3 %, Frredom Fighters 3%, Children of Defence Personnel (killed/disabled) 2%, Handicapped 2%, General 50% (30% seats for women under each category).

COURSES: The entrance test is conducted for the following courses:

Date of Entrance Examination: Mid week of May, 2011

A regular Central Govt. employee of OBC category applied for direct recruitment (absorption basis)to another Central autonomous body wherein the maximum age limit is 35 years as per RR. Wheather he is eligible or not, please confirm.
