You can join Indian Air Force at the age of 22 years after qualifying in CDS or AFCAT examination.
The required minimum educational qualification to appear for CDS and AFCAT examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised board with Mathematics and Physics at 10+2. Examination is conducted in two stages for final selection. For more information about the examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. or www.careerindianairforce.nic.in. |

With your age , you are eligible for CDS examination only but for CDS examination you must have graduation degree.
In your case you don't have graduation degree , so you have to complete a graduation course. If you completed graduation course BTech through lateral entry scheme , it will took you 3 year minimum than your age would be around 25 years. At that age you are not eligible to join Air force. |

Re: What is the upper age limitation criteria for joining Indian Air Force?
Hello all
To join Indian Air Force, have two ways as an Airman or officer. The biggest constrain in Joining Defence is the AGE LIMIT, 26 years with B.Tech. As on officer you can write CDS {Combined Defences Services} any degree holder can take this exam which will be twice in a year 3 papers (a-General Studies, b-English, c-Elementary Mathematics) which will be conducted by UPSC {Union Public Service Commission} with a high standard. After you clear this exam, they will call for SSB/AFSB {Service Selection Board/ Air Force Selection Board} this is one the best interview which will be there for 5 days. You are eligible for Non-Technical post because you’re not an Engineering Student. Or please complete your B.Tech please don’t stop with your Diploma. Then take a AFCAT Exam and then SSB/AFSB interview then join IAF. https://afcat.cdac.in/AFCAT/CareerAsPerQualification.html?dN=dpggdb&lN=lpggdb Best Wishes Thanks and Regards Bharath |
