when is the cpt exam?
i want to appear for this exam.

Hello friend,

This time CPT exam will be held on 18th December ,2011 on sunday.

Examination detail is as follows:

First Session
(i.e. Morning Session)
10.30 AM to 12.30 PM (IST)
Section - A Fundamentals of Accounting
Section - B Mercantile Laws
Second Session
(i.e. Afternoon Session)
2.00 PM to 4.00 PM (IST)
Section - C General Economics
Section - D Quantitative Aptitude

Dear friend,

Those candidate who have passed Common Proficiency Test and Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examination body constituted by law in India
or
an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and passed CPT may join the Professional Competence Course.

These exams are conducted twice every year generally on the first Sunday of the months of June and December.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts a student can make at the CA CPT examination.

CA CPT Syllabus 2012:-

No. of papers:- One

Duration:- Four years

Marks:- 200

Two Sections - Two hours - 100 Marks

Section A:- Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 Marks )
Section B: Mercantile Law ( 40 Marks )
Section C: General Economics ( 50 Marks )
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 Marks )

EXAM DATE:-

June Examination:-

June 6th, 2010; June 5th, 2011; June 3rd, 2012.

December Examination:-

December 5th, 2010; December 4th, 2011; December 2nd, 2012

CPT- common proficiency test
i am also persuing my carrier in this sector.
cpt exam will be held in june and december every year. if you want to give exam in june you will have to register before april then only you are eligible for the june attempt. if you want to give exam in december then you have to register before october.This is a nice carrier,so best of luck
