Re: Whether appearing for NEET entrance exam is necessity for admission in B.Sc Agriculture?
No, it's not a necessity to appear in NEET entrance exam for pursuing B.Sc Agriculture. NEET examination organised by CBSE for students who want to pursue M.B.B.S or B.D.S after their senior secondary. B.Sc Agriculture is a different course which doesn't come under NEET. Admission to this degree is generally done on basis of the entrance test or your aggregate percentage in senior secondary or both. NEET allows students of Medical Stream with Bio as a major subject. However, B.Sc Agriculture can be pursued by Medical/Non-Medical Students also i.e either Biology or Mathematics as a major subject. Following are the top most colleges in India for B.Sc Agriculture :
- Haryana Agricultural University - Tamil Nadu Agricultural University - Punjab Agricultural University - Birsa Agricultural University |

Re: Whether appearing for NEET entrance exam is necessity for admission in B.Sc Agriculture?
NEET refers to National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and same is a national level entrance examination which is held for admission in undergraduate medical degree courses across all the medical colleges of India except AIIMS.
As far as you are concerned about the necessity to appear in NEET for admission in B.Sc in Agriculture degree course then it is not required at all as NEET is held for admission in medical courses only and B.Sc in Agriculture is not a medical degree course. For admission in good agriculture colleges for pursuing B.Sc in Agriculture degree course you can appear in AIEEA UG examination held by ICAR or state CETs held by concerned body of examination. |
