Shall the entrance examination for mbbs 2011 be through common one test only. If so, please apprise through which notification along with detailed schedules of the common test.

Hi!

Yes, the Supreme Court has allowed MCI for holding a combined entrance test for All India Medical examinations. So, it is most likely that the there will be All India Common Medical Entrance Test for MBBS and PG from year 2011.

But according to recent updates The State Health ministers meeting held at Hyderabad decided to stop the proceedings on NEET (Medical Common Entrance), will continue the discussion on the NEET. So there will be no National level common entrance for MBBS (NEET)this year.

The Government has asked Medical council of India (MCI) to withdraw the notification of NEET 2011.

I dont think so. There is no official report regarding this. Yeah there was a new like ministry has held the common entrance exam due to some reasons.

The reasons could be due to outrage in students. Students considering it as a dangerous thing. If one gets ill for a day he/she will have to repeat the whole year in order to wait for the next exam.

Since its not acceptable at the moment there is no official report about it.

No every university will be take their seperate entrance exam for MBBS like AIIMS, MANIPAL etc.You can check their official website for notification date of exam and forms.

actually it was a proposal from a minister and it is not yet decided that it will be granted or not. it is till in discussion level.

but they are thinking to apply it from 2012. for 2011 the medical entrance will be held as earlier.

For this year it will be the same and will be conducted as earlier.It may come into effect from next year onwards.

No, this is not applicable by this year. that the all exams of MBBS is by common entrance test.
All universities have their own entrance exam for MBBS.
the exams are like:
AFMC,
UP-CPMT,
and more.

Well friend,

There is No Such issue as of now,And All the MBBS exam are going to be conducted by respective Departments or Universities This year only.

It was some rumors sprouts in the Daily local and yes there was some meeting held few months back. But this bail wasn't pass due to uncleared reasons.

So don't worry.!! Concentrate on what you are studying now.And stay touch with News too.

NO,as per the year 2011 there's no common entrance test being take place.A proposal was made forward by the Ministries but was later rejected considering it unplanned.

So,as per the year 2011 you can apply for various exams held for entrance in MBBS.

The proposed common entrance test .. to combine all medical exams into one is a proposal pending with ministry... and as is the case with our grand old india things take time... so practically you have to fill separate forms... most forms are out and many have their deadlines approaching, act fast.

yes, but not sure at that time beacuase meeting will be happening for this between education minister and other recurties.
so wait for meeting.

There may be a common exam from this year...The final hearing on the issue is on 8th of August 2011 and if the govt. approves MCI's idea..then there will be this common entrance test and its syllabus will be as that of CBSE ( following NCERT books).And the probability of court accepting this common exam thing is like 98%...

No,almost every institute conducts its own medical entrance exam and enrolls students on the basis of that entrance exam

There are many medical entrance exams like :-

AIIMS

AFMC

AIPMT

DPMT

IP University
