I want to pursue the course of CA. I will be passing my 10th board exam soon. For my 11th and 12th I'm planning to take Science stream. So. will I face any difficulty if I take Science stream in taking admission in CPT after 12th?

There will be no difficulty for science stream candidate in getting admission in Common Proficiency Test. All streams candidates are eligible for CPT exam.

But when you want to enter into Chartered Accountancy course then why you want to opt science related stream. Commerce will be more better for CA, CS, ICWA course.

Yes, you are eligible to take admission in CA course by appearing in CPT examination after completion of your 12th standard with Science stream. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a Government recognised board are eligible to pursue CA course. You have to appear and qualify the CPT examination to get admission for pursuing CA course. CPT is an entrance examination for getting admission in CA course.

CPT is Common Proficiency Test( first stage ) and it is conducted for admission in CA course.

The eligibility to appear for examination is that candidate must have passed 12th in any stream.

So, you are eligible to appear for examination and after qualifying in it will become eligible for the next stage IPCC.

Eligibility criteria to take admission in CPT exam:-

Applicants applying for this entrance test need to pass 10+2 10+2+3 or Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from the recognised University of State or Central.

Candidates are required to pursue 10+2 or 10+2+ 3 from commerce discipline only .

Age limit:-

Interested applicants need to be above 17 years of applying after 12th and 20 years if applying after graduation.

CPT refers to Common Proficiency Test and it is held for offering admission in foundation course of CA ( Chartered Accountancy ).

The minimum education required for appearing in CPT is a higher secondary school degree in any discipline from a recognized board of education.

So as far as you are concerned about your eligibility for appearing in CPT if you go for Class 12th with Science stream then you just not have to be worried regarding the same for appearing in CPT as there is no specific requirement of any subject at Class 12th level.
