i belong to sc category, i am expecting 20.67 marks out of 100, in gate 2011 mechanical stream , will i qualify, can i get a goverment coleg, what will be my percentile and score......

This year Mechanica gate 2011 (conducted on 13th february 2011) paper was very easy.

Thats why cut-off is expected to go very high, it will above 30 for general student and for SC (the catogery from which you belongs)
it will be more than 25.
Its very sad to inform you that you will not cross the cut-off, so you wont be able to get any government colleges.

sorry to say that your score in gate is to low to qualify, i don't think you will make it in any government colleges .

to make it in iit's your score should be around 55-60 marks out of 100.

your percentile will be around 60.

GATE 2011 Results will be published on 15-03-2011 at 10:00 Hrs

so prepare well this time and try next year.
