She will be treated as a non local student in Hyderabad since she belongs to the Andhra University area. The part of the State comprising the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam shall be regarded as the local area for the purpose of admission to the Andhra University and to any other educational Institutes under it.Hence, 85% of the seats will be reserved for the local candidates i.e in three districts and only 15% of the sets will be reserved for your daughter in Institutes in Hyderabad.
Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be reserved for the un-reserved category.15% of the unreserved seats will be available for your daughter in Hyderabad since your a employee of Central Government . |

hello sir..
since your daughter is considered as a non local candidate therefore she will fetch a college where no. of seats would be 15%... so please don't worry about the admission, she will surely get if she works a bit harder and score well... good luck. |

My son is BC-B cat and rank 88 in pgecet in Bio-tech. He studied degree in chennai and upto inter at vizag . whether he is considered non local in all the three regions of andhra pradesh. ie., AU, Ou, SVU, Ku, JNTU etc., what are the chances of getting a seat in final councilling scheduled on 6th of dec 2012. He did not secure a seat in first phase of counceling of pgecet 2011. There are about total 272 seats in all categories. 30 seats goes in management quota. Out of the balance 142 seats only 98 were filled in phase I. The left over seats are about 142. It is seen in some of the colleges there is no set filled. In some colleges only 50 % were filled. I do not know though there are seats left why my son did not get seat in first phase. Please some one explaine and tell me chances of getting a seat in M. Tech(Bio-tech) in next phase of counceling.
