Will there be a common entrance exam for engineering colleges from 2013?

hi..
there are talks going around that there may be an common entrance exam for engineering also like the medical field which has started from this year,
but its still in discussion stage and there has not been anything official,
we never know about the Indian government there are chances that it may be implied from the year 2013,
but there are also chances that it may not be applied also because the iits are bringing in an concern about the standard going down if such an exam are conducted
also there are talks of two tier exam system,
in which after clearing the first stage of the exam you have to again write another exam to get admission in the top colleges like the iits and nits,
but all this are in discussion stage only now and nothing is confirmed

if there is going to be a common entrance for engineering from 2013 what would be a better choice cbse 11th 12th or state board 11th 12th

If such a common entrance test is conducted then will IIT be conducted or not?

what will be the state quota in single medical entrance exam 2013?

It is comfirmed! it will start from 2013!

It is confirmed! JEE,AIEEE,SLEEE all in one examination but from 2013! It will be good for us!

it will not be good at all. if we do bad in one exam our whole future is ruined. if there are many exams even if we do bad in one exam we can do better in the next. Also the current system is very good. If they make combined exam then people who are currently training for iit-jee will do the best due to influence of extra learning. Many state board students will suffer as the portions covered is not the same as ncert.

my brother is in 12th and he is preparing for iit FROM this year onwards, he is looking to face iit 2013 with a great practice of PCM. and not working hard for board exams?
if iit 2013 will not take place WHAT WILL HE DO as he is trying really to get VERY GOOD marks in iit 2013 to get CS branch in any of TOP IITS

Common entrance exam has been fixed 2013 ... nd it is going to be vry difficult cz the competion is going to be al over INDIA... nd dnt jst study frm goverment book start refering books lyk NCERT RD SHARMA book for maths nd al watever bok vich r best... nd dnt take 11th lightly if u r 11th concept nd 12th concept are not clear... then forget it that u r going to get good marks in coomon entrance exam .... cz frm 11th syllabus also 50% is going to be aske so jst work hard in u r study..!!

I got 66% in 12th exam by cbse and want to drop this year for the preparation for entrance exams 2013. Is it right or not

i dont think becoz there is a strong opposition from all iit faculty & many states
