I have completed diploma computer eng. then i have get a 12th certificate by education board
so can i eligible for IPS officer..? if i a not eligible for IPs officer then give me tips for how can i join IPS officer....?

Diploma or intermediate candidates are not eligible to apply for IPS. To become a IPS, you must have qualified degree(10+2+3) or (10+2+4) in any discipline from a recognized University. After completing degree course you need to crack the Civil Service Examination.

Civil Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year. Civil Service Examination can be divided into different level like Preliminary, Main and Personal Interview. Each level of the examination can be conducted different month of year. Mostly the Preliminary Examination will be conducted in the month of may. Main Examination will be conducted in the month of October.

-->> Degree is compulsory.

-->> Age should between 21 to 30 years.

-->> Relaxation is applicable as per Govt norms.

-->> Final year of degree course may also eligible.

So first complete the degree course then apply for the Civil Service Examination. Civil Service Exam notification will be available in the month of February or March in the official website of UPSC as well as employment news paper.

** Note that , either the 12th or the Diploma candidates are Not eligible to apply for the Ips exam .

** Candidates who have completed Graduation , are only eligible to apply for the Ips exam.

So , you should go for Graduation and complete it from a recognised university.

Other points you should remember is ,
~ For General category candidates , age shouldbe in between 21-30 years only
~ For OBC Category candidates , age shouldbe in between 21-33 years only
~ For SC ,ST category candidates , age shouldbe in between 21-35 years only
~ You shouldbe a citizen of India
