I am a female and my height is 148cm.
Can I select in the medical exam
conducted by ips officer???????

You will not be selected in IPS Medical examination because the minimum height for a Female ST candidate to qualify IPS Medical examination is 154 Cms. If you belong to any other category, you must have to satisfy the following height requirements to qualify in IPS Medical examination are: -

Height Requirements (Female) :- 155 Cms for General, OBC, SC and 154 Cms for ST candidates.

Chest :-
--> In the case of female candidates the minimum requirement is 79 cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm.

Eye sight :-
--> 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. Near vision for worse eye is J2 and for good eye is J1.

Ear :-
--> Good listening & normal ear cavity.
--> 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.
--> Nasal :- candidate should not stammer while speaking.

IPS stands for Indian Police Service. IPS exam is conducted by UPSC through civil service exam.

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for IPS exam.

Your age should be in between 21 years to 30 years for general candidates. Age relaxation is given below -

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates
3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates
10 years relaxation for PHC candidates
5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman

I have mentioned the physical eligibility criteria in below so if you fulfill below given criteria then you are eligible for IPS exam.

Physical fitness criteria for IPS exam:-

Height

For Men : 165 cm(AROUND)
For Women :150 cm(AROUND)

OBC /SC/ST :

Male:160 cm and female :145 cm

Chest

Male candidates-84 (+ 5cm).

Female candidates-79cm(+ 5cm).

Eye Sight

For Worse Eye :6/12 or 6/9 distant vision
For good Eye :6/6 or 6/9 distant vision

The height criteria for IPS Officer job is given below. If you fulfill this criteria, then you will not face any problem during medical examination.

MALE:

1. Height for Male 165 cm and for Pahari Male & ST/ST relaxation of 5 cm.

2. Chest for Male Minimum 84 cm with Expansion of 5 cm.

FEMALE:

1. For Female 150 cm and for Pahari Female relaxation of 5 cm.

2. Chest for Female Minimum 79 cm with expansion of at least 5 cm.
