I am a final year production engineering student. All that I want to ask is that, can I apply for SSC JE as it shows criteria that, the student must have degree from mechanical,electrical or civil.

No, production engineering degree holders can't apply for SSC JE exam.

SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission and JE stands for Junior Engineer.

Eligibility criteria required to write SSC JE examination are as under :-

-The candidate should possess degree/diploma in Civil/Electrical/ Mechanical engineering discipline from a recognized University .

-The candidate age limit should be in between 18 to 32 years . There is relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates .

-Selection of candidate is made based on their performance in written exam and interview.
