Eligibility to appear in Indian Foreign Service exam for Bachelor of Arts student?
Hello
Is it necessary to have a science background to appear in Indian Foreign Service exam..... I mean I m pursuing my graduation from arts... I hope that's no bar and would never be. |

The eligibility to appear for Indian Foreign Services Exam are as under:-
-The candidate must be an Indian. -The candidate must write and clear the UPSC civil services exam to join IFS. -The candidate should have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. -The candidate age limit to apply for the exam is 21 years to 30 years for general category.There is relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. -The no. of attempts for the exam is 4 times for general category under the creamy layer,7 times for OBC candidates and no limits for SC/ST candidates. -The exam process involves *Preliminary Exam *Main exam *Personality Interview. |

I have completed my intermediate and want to join Indian foreign service in future so can you please suggest me a degree course which helps me in appearing for IFS ,and please mention the minimum percentage of degree.
