Eligibility and books for TTE?
Sir, I have completed my 12th with 85% in science stream and now I am pursuing paramedical courses. Am I eligible for TTE? Please kindly inform me ([email protected]). And kindly notify me about the books, I can use for technical and GK.

TTE stands for the travelling ticket examiner.
Railway Recruitment Board conducts a civil services examination for the recruitment of non technical categories in a grade C services. Eligibility Criteria:- > A candidate must pass 12th from the organised board. > Your minimum Marks in class 12 should be 50%. > Candidate's age must be in between 18 to 27 years. > 5 years age relaxation is given to Sc / St categories. > A candidate must be Indian citizen. Eligibility Criteria and Books required to prepare for TTE in Indian Railways:
Basically there is a certain educational qualification required to be eligible for TTE Recruitment in Indian Railways. @ The basic educational qualification required to be eligible is 10th Class or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university with 50% marks. @ The minimum age required is 18 years and the maximum age must not exceed 30 years in order to be eligible. @ Of course, there will be an age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per government norms. @ As you are done with 12th Class, I can say that you are certainly eligible to apply for this recruitment. Eligibility for TTE:-
T.T.E stands for Travelling Ticket Examiner The exam for TTE post is conducted by Railways Requirement Board once every year. The eligibility for this post:- Candidate must have passed 12th with 50% marks from a recognised board. Age limit is 21 to 25 years for general category candidates. 3 years age relaxation for OBC category candidates and 5 years age relaxation for SC / ST category candidates . Candidate should be an Indian citizen. TTE stands for Travelling Ticket Examiner and the candidates who are interested to become a TTE have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
> You should have completed your 12th standard with minimum 50% marks from a recognized board > Your age should be in between 18 to 25 years > You must be an Indian citizen With this eligibility you have to appear for an entrance examination conducted by RRB. After qualifying the examination you have to appear for medical test and personal interview which will decide your selection. In order to prepare for the examination, you can refer to R.S. Agarwal Books recommended for Aptitude tests. You can refer to the books of Upkar Publications for RRB TTE. You can also refer to R.S. Agarwal's Verbal and Non Verbal reasoning books. |

Yes, you are eligible to appear in Train Ticket Examine examination conducted by Railway Recruitment Board.
The required minimum qualification to appear in examination is that :- Candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board. Candidate age must be between 18-30 years. So, you can appear in entrance test and after qualifying in all stages will become eligible for recruitment. The important books for preparation of examination is :- Lucent General Knowledge. Upkar's Ticket Collector Examination. Arihant Ticket Collector Examination. The examination paper contain questions from English, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge and Mathematics ( Reasoning and General Ability ). |

I think you have mentioned ticket collector TTE in Railway.
Eligibility criteria: Candidates must have passed Matriculation with minimum 50% from a recognized board. Age limit: 18 to 30 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC upto 5 years. Selection process: Computer based written exam objective type. Books: 1. Reasoning- R. S. Aggerwal 2. Quantative Aptitude- M. TYRA, FAST TRACK by Arihant publication. 3. General Studies- Lucent book. |

Since you done with your 12th class with required percentage criteria you are eligible for the TTE exam but make sure that you have a min. age of 18 years before applying for it.
Carry on with your course but apply with intermediate as your qualification. Best books to be referred are : Go through the aptitude and reasoning ability books every day which was written by R.S.Agarwal.I feel this is the best book till date. Daily refer Hindu newspaper and also refer to general studies of disha publication which is enough and also take sample papers and practice every day. |

Following are the eligibility criteria required for the post of TTE in Indian Railway...
- The first thing is that you must have completed your 12th from a recognized university. - In 12th you must have minimum of 50% marks. - And in 10th you must have minimum of 60% marks. - Your age must be between 18 to 30 years. - Reserved category candidates will get relaxation in the age criteria. - Nationality must be Indian.
