Eligibility Criteria

XII Class / Equivalent passed certificate conducted by State Board / Universities. Candidate appearing for above examination can also apply.
Unmarried male candidates only
Age between 16 1/2 to 19 years
Nationality - A candidate must be either:
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A subject of Nepal,

No, You are Not Eligible for NDA Examination Because You are Not Fulfill the Height Eligiblity Criteria, The minimum acceptable height in NDA Examination is 157.5 cms and your Height is 120 Cm, So you are Not eligible for NDA Examination.

NDA Examination is Conducted by UPSC Comission every year and to apply for this examination, You have to complete your 12Th examination forma recognised Board, Final year 12th appearing candidates are also apply for NDA Examination.

To apply for NDA, Your age should between 16.5 to 19 Years.

But You are Not satisfied the height Eligiblity. So, You are Not eligible for NDA Examination.

Those who are eligible may apply for NDA Examination next year. Eligible candidates may apply for any One of the Wings : Naval Wings, Air Force Wings and Army Wings.

The Notification of NDA (I) Examination will be Published on 31/Dec/2011.

The last date of apply for NDA Examination : 30/Jan/2012.

Examination Date : 15/April/2012.

Height Eligiblity :

Hi Friend,

Your height is not eligible to attend national Defence Academy.
You must have 165 cm height to join NDA.
Along with height you need to fulfill medical test.


Eye sight - 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.
Near vision J 1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye.
The correction is by lenses only.
High standard for the Colour-blind test.
No inherent night blindness.
Vision should stereoscopic.

Height: 165cm

Chest girth fully expanded: 84cm (Expansion: 5cm)

Eye Vision:

High Grade Colour Vision.

Binocular Vision.

Refractive Error Permitted-

Total Amount of Hypermetropia(including cylinder) shall not exceed plus 4.00D

yes heigh is not a bar for army ,navy.
150 cms is required for aiirforce

so u r eligible for nda and apply for army navy branch

To join army you must have 152cm height dear apply in other way

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible N.D.A because your height is less.

For eligible in N.D.A you height should be minimum 156cm.

Sir, my height is 158 cms for which wing can i apply.

on wat basis the selection will be made

What if my weight is more than what it is to be according to my height?
