.Most of the government organizations look for architecture graduates who have acquired their degree from an institution approved by the Architecture council of India .

To work as an architect with govt bodies one need to b a qualified architect with degree plot b.arch with minimum 55% post which 1 need to participate in UPSC exam through which 1 can get service in govt organization such as
RITES
CPWD etc
For PWD one need to participate in state level examination 1 can also.apply in employment exchanges for getting govt job be it central or state.
Apart from giving a general exam like UPSC etc the govt bodies take out vacancies from time to time, contractual as well as permanent .
Just keep a track of newspaper and their websites to keep itself updated about job opportunities.
At present UPSC conducts d recruitment examination for two posts in d architecture cadre in CPWD:-
Assistant architect(GR B)
Deputy ". (GR A)
Unlike their engineer counterparts these recruitments are not regular and does not happen every year like(IES) but based on vacancy....
