Civil Engineering is one of the best disciplines of engineering which has lots of career opportunities in private and public sector. You can apply for following entrance exams for government jobs:
>>Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering for jobs in various PSUs like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL, ONGC, IOCL etc. >>Indian Engineering Services examination. >>Railway Recruitment Board examination for Senior and Junior engineer. You need to focus on basis of civil engineering subjects and practice a lot on objective and subjective questions to clear these competitive exams. |

Quote:
To get government job, one has to apply for the vacancies available in the government sector. The vacancy details are available in the job portals and in employment newspaper. Most of the government PSUs will recruit candidates on the basis of their performance in GATE. So it is important to clear GATE with good rank, to get a job in PSUs. The salary in the PSUs will be comparatively high and the job security is there in PSUs. The applicant should score over 65% marks in B.Tech also in order to be eligible for the job in PSUs. After short listing you will be called for an interview for the selection. |
