Re: IAS exam is held in which language? Can't I appear in Hindi language?
You can appear for IAS exam in any Regional language. It came into existence from the year 2013, as per statement made by Minister for Personnel and Training, "V.Narayanasamy" in parliament. And at the same time, you can choose the same language to attend for the IAS interview.
So, you can Hindi or any other Regional language to appear for the IAS exams. |

Re: IAS exam is held in which language? Can't I appear in Hindi language?
IAS exam can be given in English or Hindi but the English section in IAS exam will be available only in English medium.
Therefore, don't worry if you are a Hindi medium student and be prepared for the IAS examination. But, you have to be prepared for the English section as well which will carry some weightage in the IAS exam. The age limit for this exam is 21 to 30 years. There is age relaxation for reserved category candidates. 1. SC/ST : 5 years relaxation 2. OBC : 3 years relaxation 3. PWD : 10 years relaxation The exam will have following stages and those who are in merit will be selected for the posts. 1. CSAT 2. Mains Exam 3. Interview Number of Attempts 1. General : 4 attempts 2. OBC : 7 attempts 3. SC/ST : no limit For more information visit http://upsc.gov.in |
