Job opportunities in Government sector for MSc(Chemistry) postgraduate?


Hello friends, I am a MSc(Chemistry) postgraduate. I am looking for a job in Government sector. So, I would like to know about the opportunities in Government sector for me. Please tell me asap. Thank you!

As you have mentioned that you have completed post graduation then the best option for you is to become a lecturer. You have to qualify UGC NET entrance exam for this.

But if you want job in any other sector then some of them are as follows:-

Job opportunities in government sector for MSC Chemistry Postgraduate:-

A candidate with a Master's degree in Chemistry can get jobs with government Chemical Industries, Pharmaceuticals Industries, Factories etc.

It is also possible for them to join petroleum companies such as the Bharat Petroleum, Indian Oil Corporation etc.

It is also possible for Candidates to get jobs as Lectures or Assistant Professor with top Universities or Colleges if they have qualify in the NET exam.

There are so many government job opportunities after M.Sc in chemistry in both relevant and other departments because chemistry is one of the subjects which is demanded both government and private sector departments. Based on your current qualification you can apply for following jobs in government sector :

01. Chemical Lab Assistant Job : There are so many chemical related jobs opened in various educational institutes and universities and other research labs so you can apply for the post of Lab Assistant in chemical lab on the basis of M.Sc Chemistry.

02. Lab Analyst Job : A candidate graduate in any discipline of chemistry with PG degree in organic or physical or inorganic chemistry is required to be analyst of the practical laboratory made for the aspirants in various research stations of chemistry related industries.

03. Teacher Grade II and III in various government schools of the state for chemistry subject of 11th and 12th class level : A candidate masters in chemistry is eligible to apply for the post of teacher in government schools for chemistry subject and if he/she clears NET/SET/SLET entrance test then he/she can become regular lecturer in that institute.

04. Research Assistant and Research Associate Jobs : So many government universities and institutes conduct research program and demands for assistants and associates for complete project which take years in research so if you want then you can also apply for this job in government sector.

05. Junior Research Fellow/ Young Research Fellow in various national level universities on permanent and contract basis : You can apply for this job after M.Sc in Chemistry because this is one of the most common jobs for candidates masters in chemistry so you can search a lot of jobs based on your qualification.

These all above jobs were related to your field, now I would like to tell you jobs related to other government departments, which are :

SSC Combined Graduate Level and Higher Secondary Level Examination : SSC conduct both of these exams every single year in which you can become Group B, Group C level officers in central government and based on CHSL exam, you can become DEO and LDC in different government departments,

IBPS Probationary Officer and Clerical Jobs : IBPS conduct common written exam for both of these jobs in different nationalised government banks of India so you can also apply for these jobs if you want to make your career in banking sector.

Indian Railways Jobs : Indian Railway boards also conduct recruitment for the post of station master, assistant station master, Ticket Clerk, Train Ticket Examiner, Ticket Collector and Checker, Announcer, Counter Reservation Clerk, Loco Pilot, Assistant Loco Pilot etc. so if you want to become any of these above grade employee in railway then you can apply.
