Sir, I am eager to join RRB as an Assistant Loco Pilot. I know little about the same post. Can you please tell me about the job profile of Assistant Loco Pilot in RRB?

The entrance examination for recruitment as Assistant Loco Pilot post is conducted by RRB.

The required eligibility to appear for examination is that :

Candidate must have passed ITI or diploma from a recognised institute.

The age limit is 18-30 years with relaxation in upper limit for reserved category.

The examination is conducted in written and medical test. So, you have to appear and qualify for all stages for final selection. For detail information regarding examination visit at www.rrb.gov.in.

RRB ( Railway Recruitment Board ) conducts entrance examination for recruitment as Assistant Loco Pilot.

>> Selected candidates are required to help the loco driver in tuning the locomotive and keep an eye on signal and indicate it further.

>> Besides this, candidate has to maintain the productivity of the locomotive by increased the average speed, safety and security and punctuality.

>> If required, candidates need to repair the locomotive and notice the tract defect through lurch or jerk.

>> After Assistant Loco Pilot, next level of the posts are Senior Assistant Loco pilot and then Loco Pilot.

>> Candidates are required to call out the Signal once sighted and need to attend the minor repairs of the locomotive.

>> Candidates are required to check the efficiency of the locomotive from time to time.
