The following are the qualifications, which are required to contest as "Member of Parliament".
1)Candidate must be a citizen of India.
2)Candidate should have attained an age of at least 25 years.
3)Candidate must be registered as a voter.
4)And the candidate should not have any Criminal record.

If the candidate can satisfy all these rules and regulations, then he can contest in elections, by paying a Security Deposit.

The Security deposit for candidates will depend on the caste, they belongs to.
1)25000 rupees for OC and BC candidates.
2)12500 rupees for SC and ST candidates.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
