Bharat Electronics Limited or BEL as well as Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited or BHEL recruit engineering graduates for the post of probationary engineers through GATE score. The initial selection for the interview round is done on the basis of GATE score secured by the applicants. Finally the recruitment is done on the aggregate score of interview as well as GATE score and the medical examination. So inorder to get employed in the post of Probationary engineers, you need to appear for GATE exam and score well.

There will be 65 questions and the total marks will be 100 and all the questions will be objective. 10 questions will be from General aptitude carrying 15 marks. There will be a negative marking of 1/3 for 1 mark question and 2/3 for 2 marks question. Questions will comprise of multiple choice questions, common data questions, linked answer questions and numerical answer questions. Calculators are allowed inside the examination hall.
