What is the procedure to join NDA after 10th?
Hi Sir, my name is Davinder Singh. I am 10th pass, my age is 16.6 years old. So, I am joining Indian navy and I love Indian navy and my dream. So, please tell me how to fulfill the condition to join NDA? Thanks.

NDA refers to National Defense Academy and to join NDA you need to qualify NDA entrance examination held by UPSC two times every year.
* The minimum eligibility criteria required for appearing in NDA entrance examination are as following :- i) You must be an unmarried Indian male citizen. ii) Your age must lie in between 16.5 years to 19.5 years. iii) You must have completed your Class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board of education. Further in order to join Indian Navy or Indian Air force you need to have studied Physics and Mathematics at your Class 12th level. Students pursuing final year are also eligible. iv) You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement. So being a Class 10th pass candidate you need to first complete your Class 12th and then have to qualify NDA entrance examination. No, you are not eligible to join NDA after completion of your 10th standard. To be eligible to join NDA, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. Since, you have not pursued 12th standard, so, being a 10th standard passed candidate, you are not eligible to join NDA.

Sorry that you are not eligible for NDA after completing 12th standard. You need to complete 12th standard to be eligible for NDA entrance exam. Only science stream candidates are eligible to apply for Air Force and Navy wing.

If you want to join Indian Navy through NDA then first you have to complete your intermediate in PCM group from a recognized board. Only after that you can apply for NDA exam which is conducted by UPSC. Age limit for this exam is 16.5 years to 19.5 years and only unmarried male candidates are eligible to give this exam. Thanks

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. NDA/NA entrance examination is conducted by UPSC every year for selection of candidates into different wings of Defence. The eligibility criteria for NDA entrance exam is:
>>The academic qualification required for NDA entrance exam is that candidate must have done or appear for senior secondary board examination. Physics and Mathematics is compulsory for Indian Navy. >>The age limit to appear for NDA exam is 16.5-19.5 years. >>Only unmarried male candidates can apply for NDA entrance examination. You need to select Science stream with Physics and Mathematics in 10+2 to apply for NDA entrance examination. |

I am sorry to say that you are not eligible to appear for NDA examination just after 10th standard. The minimum eligibility for NDA is 12th standard from a recognized board. You also have to fulfill some eligibility criteria to be eligible for NDA.

If you are interested in NDA then you need to follow the following steps and these are given below:-
Candidate must have passed their intermediate from any of the recognized university from Science stream as Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. Candidate should be a citizen from India, Nepal, Bhutan. Candidate must be an unmarried male. Girls are not allowed. Candidate age should be 16.5 years to 19.5 years. Candidate height should be 157 cms. Candidate should must be mentally and physically fit. Permanent tattoos are accepted only. |

One can't join NDA right after passing 10th board exam. The minimum academic qualification for NDA is 12th pass. If you are willing to join Indian Navy, you will have to take Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics in your 10+2.
Eligibility criteria for NDA exam :- -The candidate must be a citizen of India. -The age limit for the candidate is 16.5 years to 19.5 years. -Only unmarried male candidate can apply for the exam. -The candidate should have passed 10+2 in any stream from a recognized board for Indian Military Academy and 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics for Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy. -Selection of candidates are made based on their performance in the written examination and personal interview conducted by the Service Selection Board. |

NDA stands for National Defense Academy and as the name suggests it is a defense academy meant for providing education and training to those who manages to qualify NDA entrance examination with an aim to become a defense officer.
NDA entrance examinations are held twice every year by UPSC in two stages which includes Written Test followed by SSB ( Service Selection Board ) interview. --> For appearing in NDA entrance examination the basic qualifications which you must hold are as here under :- * You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate. * Your age must lie within 16.5 years to 19.5 years. * You must have completed your higher secondary school degree in any discipline from a recognized board of examination. Further in order to join Indian Air force or Indian Navy your academics must include Mathematics and Physics as main subjects. * You must hold the physical fitness as per the service requirement norms. So being a Class 10th passed candidate you need to first complete your higher secondary school degree and have to qualify NDA entrance examination to join NDA. Sorry, but you are not eligible for NDA directly after passing 10th. You are eligible for NDA only when you are in 12th or 12th passed.
Eligibility criteria for joining NDA are:- Candidate must be 12th passed or appearing in 12th. Candidate must be from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects in 12th. Candidate who has passed 12th must scored at least 60 percent aggregate in 12th. Candidate's age must be under 17 years to 19 years. Procedure of NDA exam:- Written test SSB or AFSB interview Medical and fitness test |

No, you are not eligible to appear for NDA entrance examination.
The eligibility to appear for examination is :- Candidate must have passed or pursuing in 12th from a recognised board. Candidate's age must be between 16.5-19.5 years. For recruitment in Indian Navy candidate must have passed 12th with PCM as main paper. So, you are not eligible to appear for examination with 22 years of age. No,You cannot sit in NDA exam after 10th standard.
There is some elibilty criteria which is given below :- The candidate must be an Indian national. Only unmarried male candidates can apply for NDA exam. The candidate must have passed 12th from a recognized Board. The candidate must have studied Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in 12th standard. The appearing students of 12th standard can also apply for NDA exam. The age limit to apply for NDA exam is 16.5 to 19 years. The NDA exam will be held twice in a year. |
