Mathematics is compulsory along with Physics & Chemistry for taking admission to B.Tech Biotechnology course in many leading government colleges. Apart from this, you have to clear the entrance examination to get admission to B.Tech Biotechnology course. Entrance examination contains mathematics paper also, therefore, it is difficult to get admission without mathematics. You can get admission in various private universities in B.Tech Biotechnology course without mathematics also. You can study the B.Tech Biotechnology course in Amity University after completion of Class XII with PCB with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized board. In order to pursue B.Tech, it is must that a student must have completed 10+2 standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized board of education.
Since you have completed your PU with a combination of PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology), so you are not eligible for B.Tech. For B.Tech course Mathematics is very important. |

Let me tell you that you are a PCB students so you can go for BSC in biotechnology but not for bachelor of Technology in biotech. So it is recommended to you to pursue BSc in biotechnology in after that Masters course in biotechnology. That would be better because it is according to your interest and it would be fruitful for you in future.

Re: Can I get admission in B.Tech Biotech after studying PCB stream without math?
As you have told that you want to do B.Tech Biotech then it is not possible if you have not Maths in 12th class. But it is possible if you have biotech subject as the main subject in class 12th.
But if you do not have Biotech subject in 12th class then sorry you can't do this course. There are also many other options for PCB. you can do BSc honors and you can also opt BSc simple. You can also apply for the entrance exam for medical. There are so many courses in Medical field you can opt any of them. Instead this you can apply for BCA or BBA. BCA is also a good course. It is computer based course and if you have interest in computers then this is the best course for you and there is a lot of demand for this course in the market. After that you can do MCA it is 2 years course and it is master degree course. After this course, you can apply for the job in many companies where you will get good salary package and good position. So there are lot of options which you can choose for your future. |
