Respected Sir, I have completed my class 12th scoring 65% marks and now I want to GNM for Nursing Training. I want to ask you weather I am eligible for pursuing GNM (Nursing Training) with such criteria?

Eligibility criteria for GNM Nursing
1). Minimum age for admission should be 17 years and maximum age for admission should be 35 years.
2).Educational requirements
Candidate should have passed 12th in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) .

This is the basic eligibility criteria required to join GNM course.

The qualifications for GNM Nursing training is :-


You must have completed 10+2 in Science/ Arts/
Commerce subject with marks 45% for
General and 40% SC/ST category .

Age limit:-

The minimum age limit is 17 years and maximum age limit is 35 years.


GNM course duration is 3½ years.

GNM refers to General Nursing & Midwifery. The minimum qualification to pursue this course is 12th from a recognized board. Here is the eligibility criteria to pursue GNM course:

> Candidate should have passed their 12th standard in science/ arts/ commerce stream from a recognized board.

> Minimum marks required in 12th examination is 45% and for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST) it is 40%.

> Age limit should be in between 17 to 35 years.

As you have scored 65% in 12th examination and if you fullfill the above eligibility criteria then you are definitely eligible to pursue this course.

The minimum educational requirement in order to apply for the above mentioned course is that the candidate should have completed a minimum of 12th standard from a recognized board. Candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% in aggregate and age should be in between 17-35 years of age.
