Can my son apply for Engineering in India if he has passed class 12th from Oman?


Hello Sir, My son is in 11th grade (Oman), can he apply for Engineering after 12th in Karnataka, India with non NRI quota and for which he has to give an entrance exam? Please answer as soon as possible.

If he has a residential certificate of India then only he is eligible for Engineering entrance exam in India.

You can apply for engineering course through NRI quota.

Yes, he can apply for engineering admission in India, based on class 12th qualification which is from Karnataka. There is no issue as you have studied class 12th from India.

There is qualification of 10th class which is available from Oman. There is no need to worry about anything.

As he has completed his 12th board examination from Karnataka university, therefore he is very much eligible to apply for JEE(Main) examination, there is no such problem in it. He should just prepare well for the examination and need not worry about anything else.
