Lateral Entry admissions are nothing but Direct admission to second year of B.E/ B.Tech course after completion of three years Diploma course from a recognised university. To get admission in B.E/ B.Tech course through Lateral Entry process, you need to appear in LEET or ECET examination. By qualifying LEET or ECET examination, based upon your entrance examination rank, you will be allotted a seat in a particular college. By qualifying LEET or ECET examination, you can get direct admission in second year of four years B.E/ B.Tech course. Almost all the colleges provides Lateral Entry admissions in B.Tech course for candidates who have completed three years Diploma course from a AICTE recognised institution.
