Eligibility criteria for lateral entry in B.E(Mechanical Engineering)? What is the cutoff mark for lateral entry in B.E?

yes there is a plan of lateral entry or diploma to degree program for diploma students to get entry into engineering or B.Tech/B.e courses.By this plan a diploma student can get entry into engineering courses directly into second year skipping the first year.But for this you should have completed at least 3 years diploma after class 10th or 1 year diploma after class 12th.

But here for getting our maximum help you should have mentioned the name of college in which you want to get entry because the marks criteria differs with every college .some colleges need 60% while some need 70% as well.You will get entry directly into second year as the syllabus is common for first year.

Yes of course you can enter into the engineering college through the lateral entry by the recently notified (January) new regulations for lateral admission to engineering programs which is as following :-

If you a B.Sc. degree with mathematics as a subject and 60 per cent aggregate at the U.G. level then you can gain lateral entry into the second year or III semester of the B.E. / B.Tech course

Lateral Entry Engineering Test(LEET) is a examination through which you can take admission in 2nd year or 3rd semester of BE/B.Tech engineering.

Eligibility:

you can take admission in the BE/BTech programs if:

1:you pass any diploma degree of minimum 3 years after 10th.

or

you pass any diploma degree of minimum 2 years after 12th from any polytechnic institute affiliated with State Board of Technical Education(SBTE) or any University, or recognized by UGC/AICTE with minimum of 60% marks and 55% marks for SC/ST in aggregate or any gradation system

2:you qualify LEET with at least 20% aggregate marks and 15% for SC/ST students

3:you are a citizen of India.

If you have fulfilled the above conditions then you would be eligible for appearing in the entrance test organized by AICTE to enter into BE/B.Tech.

There are 250 colleges and over 90,000 seats all over India where you can take a entry as lateral.

Sir, I've Completed Diploma in Tool And Die Making at GT&TC (Govt. Tool Room & Training Center) Hospet, Bellary District.
Here my doubt is, am i able to get any jobs which are suitable for Diploma in Mechanical Engg Holders.?
Can apply to the JTO (Junior Teaching officer) in ITI college.?

Dear pal,
aspirants are eligible to do their engineering course after the completion of diploma from a recognised university. But the admission to the courses depends on the marks secured by the aspirant in diploma course.
In certain states like tamil nadu admission is through counselling which is based on the marks secured by the aspirant in the diploma and they will be ranked based on it. The aspirant can choose any course they wish provided they have vacancy in the college.
The marks required and the course availability will differ from year to year. The diploma aspirant can also apply for the AIEEE exam but they will be admitted to the first year only not to second year as in case of lateral entry.
Aspirant who have completed their bachelor degree in the field of science in mathematics and science discipline are also eligible for the lateral entry. But the number of seats available is less when compared to that of engineering regular direct admission to the first year.

you must have diploma in mechanical from aicte approved college, with 60% or more marks in semester

Difficulty of exam paper

Depending upon the above 4 factors cutoff marks will decide.

According to the experts ,IBPS exam is very huge competition exam,across India,so many students taking this exam.So you get 70% of marks that is 70% of 250 marks=175 you will defiantly get the job in any of the 19 banks notification.

In worst case i.e the paper is difficulty then you have to score 60% of marks.

No, you can't enter into diploma course in electrical after ITI by corespondence but if you have passed 10th then you can apply for it.
