I would like to know that if a student is from Arts stream or Commerce stream then can he/she will be eligible to join NIFT for B.Des course? Please tell me about this as soon as possible. Waiting for your response.

Yes, you are eligible to get admission in NIFT B.Des after qualifying in the entrance examination.

Candidates passed 10+2 from any recognised board with five subjects as main paper are eligible to appear for entrance examination.

So, after qualifying the examination you will be eligible to get admission in the course.

The maximum age limit to appear for examination is 23 years as on 1st October.

B.Des is available for any stream candidate through NIFT entrance exam. You can surely apply for entrance exam for this course.
Admission will be based on the performance in entrance exam and seats are allotted based on rank through counselling.

Yes you are eligible to pursue B.Des. in NIFT. Candidate from any of the stream must be eligible to study this course. There is no restriction about stream in pursuing this course.
Candidate must have completed their higher secondary education from any of the recognized board.
Candidate must have at least 60% aggregate in their higher secondary education.
There is no upper age limit to pursue this course.

Arts/Commerce students are also eligible to study B.Des in NIFT.

NIFT stands for National Institute of Fashion Technology.

Eligibility criteria required to get admission for Bachelor of Design course in NIFT :-

-The candidate should have passed 10+2 exam with 50% marks from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination.

-The maximum age to apply for NIFT exam is 23 years as on 1st October of the year of admission. There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and People with Disability.

Admission for the B.Des. course is offered by the institute through an entrance exam. The written test is conducted to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the course opted. There is no negative marking for wrong attempts and each right answer will get 1 mark.
