The admission process for Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program may vary depending on the university or college you are applying to. However, the general procedure and requirements for admission are as follows:
  1. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 education from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Some universities may also require candidates to have a minimum age of 17 years at the time of admission.
  2. Entrance Exam: Most universities and colleges offering BSW programs conduct an entrance exam to select candidates for admission. The entrance exam may consist of objective-type questions related to general knowledge, current affairs, social issues, English language skills, and logical reasoning.
  3. Application Process: Candidates can apply for the BSW program by filling the online or offline application form of the respective university or college. They will be required to submit their personal and educational details, along with the application fee.
  4. Counseling: Shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling rounds where they will have to provide their preferences for the course and college. Based on the merit list and availability of seats, candidates will be allotted seats.

The syllabus for the entrance exam may include the following topics:
  • General Knowledge: Current affairs, History, Geography, and Indian Polity.
  • English Language: Vocabulary, Grammar, and Comprehension.
  • Social Issues: Human Rights, Social Welfare, and Environment.
  • Logical Reasoning: Analogies, Syllogisms, and Data Interpretation.
  • Numerical Ability: Arithmetic, Algebra, and Geometry.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
