Is there any lateral entry exam for MCA admission in Anna University?

To get admission in Anna University, you need to crack the TANCET Examination. If you want to join of MCA course or lateral entry examination for MCA course ,then you need to crack the TANCET Examination. This year examination has been already completed. Next notification will be published in the month of February or March in the official website of Anna University.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate should have completed B.Sc or BCA from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks for general candidates and 45% marks for reserved categories. Final year of degree course may also apply.

Exam Pattern: Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, English Language and Computer Knowledge.

Candidates admitted through lateral entry in degree courses are not eligible except, B.E/B.Tech. degree courses. Candidates with B.E/B. Tech/Bachelor’s degree/M.Sc degree obtained through weekend courses and B.E/B. Tech through distance mode are not eligible. There will be an entrance for MCA. in the name of TANCET.

Eligibility for Lateral Entry to MCA program in Anna University :

Candidate must have passed bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc. with mathematics in 12th class or at graduation level.
Candidate must have secured more than 50% marks in qualifying degree examination.

Candidate have to make DD of Rs.500/- drawn in favour of "The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai" payable at Chennai.

Candidate have to take print out of the application form and send send it to the following address along with DD :
