Internship for Electrical 2nd year student during summer vacation in Kolkata?


Hello,
My son is a 2nd year student in Electrical Engineering. He want to do summer internship in a company in & around Kolkata/West Bengal. Please tell the name of the companies which provide such summer internship in Electrical Engineering.

Since your son is in the second year of engineering course, so it will be hard to get internship opportunity. This is because being in second year, he has very less domain knowledge and the companies expect more core knowledge. SO they provide internship opportunities only to third and fourth year engineering students. Hence it is recommended your son go for industrial training rather than internships. Since he is from electrical background, so he can get internship opportunities in :-

- PSUs like DVC, IOCL, NTPC, ONGC, etc.
- Private steel plants like TATA Steel
- Kolkata Electricity Corporation
- Indian Railways (Howrah Division)
- Metro Railways
