Am I eligible to do Ph.D if I have less than 60% in B.Sc?


Hi,

I am student of M.Sc.Microbioly final year, i want to do phd in microbioloy, but my percentage in B.Sc.-52% nd in M.Sc.-74%

so tell me i am eligible for doing phd program or not?

The minimum requirement for getting admission in a Ph.D program is a Master's Degree with at least 55% marks from a recognized University. You are definitely eligible for any Ph.D entrance exam for getting admission. Admission is based on the performance in the written exam and interview.

If you have qualified exams like NET/SLET/JRF then no need to appear for any Ph.D entrance exam and can apply for direct Ph.D admission interview stage. Those who have got M.Phil qualification or a teaching fellowship or 5 years of professional experience in relevant field are eligible for admission without any entrance exam.
