Re: Can 2nd year B.Tech (Civil) students apply for CSIR exam?
No, B.Tech (Civil) 2nd year pursuing candidates are not eligible to apply for CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) Examination. The basic educational qualification required to be eligible for CSIR Examination is " 4 year B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Pharma/ Integrated BS-MS/ MBBS/ M.Sc or its equivalent Degree " from a recognized university. Or Candidates who have enrolled for Master of Science or candidates having completed 10+2+3 years of the above mentioned courses are eligible to apply for CSIR Examination. Since the basic educational qualification required to be eligible for CSIR Examination is "Bachelor Degree" or Graduate Degree from a recognized university, you are not eligible to apply for CSIR Exam this year. Candidates who are pursuing their Final year of Graduation are also eligible to appear in CSIR Entrance Examination. So I suggest you to concentrate on the core topics covered in B.Tech (Civil) till 4 years, so that you can prepare very well for CSIR National Eligibility Test. I suggest you to apply for CSIR Examination when you pursue B.Tech Final year or Eligible to apply after completion of B.Tech/ B.E.

No, you are not eligible for CSIR exam because you are in 2nd year of your B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
Those candidates who have completed BS-4 years program/BE/B. Tech/B. Pharma/MBBS/Integrated BS-MS/M.Sc. or Equivalent degree with at least 55% marks are eligible for CSIR NET exam. Your age should be below 28 years. |
