Can I get admission to study PhD in IISC, NIT or IIT if scored 22 marks in GATE?
Hello,
My GATE scorecard is 350. I got 22 marks in GATE but the qualifying marks is 25. Can I get PhD admission from IISC, NIT or IIT? Thank you in advance. |

For getting admission in IISc, IIT and NIT you must have a GATE a percentile of above 90 percentile if you belong to General category. For reserved category candidates the percentile may be a bit lower for getting admission. You must apply for admission and hope for the best.
The cut off marks varies every year and it also depends on the number of seats available in the given stream. The cut off score for popular stream is usually high and if you are aiming to get admission in not so popular stream then you have good chance of admission. |
