For getting admission in IISc, IIT and NIT you must have a GATE a percentile of above 90 percentile if you belong to General category. For reserved category candidates the percentile may be a bit lower for getting admission. You must apply for admission and hope for the best.

The cut off marks varies every year and it also depends on the number of seats available in the given stream. The cut off score for popular stream is usually high and if you are aiming to get admission in not so popular stream then you have good chance of admission.

Sorry, you are not eligible for IITs or NITs with GATE score - 22.

To join IITs/NITs/IISc, you must have atleast 220 marks in GATE. The cut off marks may differ according to your category also.

GATE is considered to be the most toughest entrance exams in India. To crack GATE exam, you must have string subject knowledge. Since , this exam is conducted once in a year, you can apply in the next year after good preparation.
