Can I get direct admission in Ph.D Economics at Sardar Patel University if completed master degree from the same university?


Hello sir, I have completed MA in Economics from Sardar Patel University and now want to do Ph.D in Economics from the same university. Can I get direct admission in Ph.D without entrance exam?

Sorry, it is not possible to get direct admission in PhD Economics at Sardar Patel University after MA Economics from the same university. Those who have completed MA Economics with not less than 55% marks are eligible to do PhD Economics at Sardar Patel University. The eligible candidates should clear the PhD entrance test for the admission. The candidates having M.Phil or UGC-CSIR/NET/INSPIRE/FELLOWSHIP/SLET/JRF are exempted from entrance test. So it is not possible to join directly PhD Economics in Sardar Patel University. The details are available in the university website, the link is Click Here

You have completed MA in Economics from Sardar Patel University but you can't get direct admission in Ph.D without entrance exam.

If your masters degree marks is above 55%, then you can apply for Ph.D course in Economics.
