Minimum marks required in M.Sc Physics to get admission in IITs for Ph.D on Plasma topics?


Hello sir, I am studying M.Sc in Physics and want to do Ph.D on Plasma topic. How much marks should I do in M.Sc to get admission in IITs for Ph.D?

You must have at least 55% marks in masters degree to become eligible for Ph.D admission in India. There is relaxation of 5% marks for candidates who belong to reserved category.
Admission in IITs will be possible only when you have a excellent academic record and qualified in exams like NET/SET/GATE/JRF with good performance in the interview stage.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognized university are eligible for Ph.D entrance exam in IIT. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

There are no age criteria.

You must have valid CSIR NET score card.
