Can I qualify NET, being a housewife?
Hello, I am Vijayalakshmi 2013 pass out of MA in English. I am a housewife and I've a 1 year old baby. For the past 2 years I've touched the subject and attended the exam without preparation even I've not checked my previous exams results. So, now am worried I want to qualify in NET exam because seriously I need it. Please help me. Your beholder.

Yes, you can seat for NET exam if you have scored minimum of 55% marks in your Master degree. Candidates who have completed their Master's degree course with 55% of marks or its equivalent from recognized university or institution are eligible to appear for the UGC NET examination. Final year candidates those who awaits for the result can also appear for the examination.

Yes, definitely you can apply and qualify for the NET examination being a house wife.
Since you have completed your Masters degree course, you can apply for the NET examination. Candidates those who have completed their Masters degree course from a recognised University with a minimum of 55% of marks in it are eligible to apply for the NET examination. |

NET stands for National Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted by UGC. The educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET exam. There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years. |
