Is it necessary to do phd in the subject from which we have cleared ugc net exam or we can do phd in other subject as well...plz reply soon
for eg I am Master in pharmacy. If I clear ugc net in subject of social medicine and community pharmacy then can I do phd in other subject like forensic science ?

If you have got Master's Degree in Forensic Science or any other Life Science field then surely you can apply for Ph.D admission. All you have to take care is that you have got at least 55% marks in your Master's degree from a recognized University.

In most of the Universities in India Ph.D in Forensic Sciences is allowed for those who have got Master’s Degree in Forensic Science / Criminology / Science/ Medicine / Technology and Engineering/ Pharmaceutical Sciences with at least 55% marks.

What kind of options can a person get after qualifying net social medicine and community health

Hello sir/mam, I am doing my masters in m.sc(pharmaceutical chemistry) final yr.am i eligible to attend social medicine & community health as it relate to my subject.
