Doing Ph.D is not compulsory for any government employee. It all depends on your need and career objective. Hence, take your decision according to your own interest.

Passing interview is very necessary for admission in Ph.D programme. There are limited Ph.D seats available in every university and only merit can get you admission.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
