Can I study PhD in Management through NET being a 36 years old MBA(Marketing & MIS) postgraduate?


Hello,

I am very much interested in doing phd in management. I am 36yrs old, have done mba in marketing and MIS, but I have not appeared in CAT or NET exam yet. Is it possible if i can appear in such tests now? Thxs and regards, himani.

Yes, surely you can apply for Ph.D in Management through NET if you have qualified it. There is no age limit specified for admission in a Ph.D program, therefore, don't worry about anything and follow the procedure to get admission.

If you don't have NET/SLET score then you can apply for it now. You must have MBA with at least 55% marks from a recognized University to become eligible for admission. If you belong to reserved category then you will be eligible for 5% relaxation in marks.

If you have completed MBA degree with above 55% marks from a recognized university then you are eligible to do Ph.D in Management.

Procedure for Ph.D course:-

1)Subject wise written test

2)Technical interview.

If you have fulfilled above mentioned criteria then you are eligible for UGC NET exam. For JRF post, your age should be below 28 years.

Those candidates who have completed graduation degree with above 50% marks from a recognized university are eligible for CAT exam.
