How can I get admission to study PhD in English if secured 50% in M.A.(English) being a 52 years old candidate?


Sir,
I have done M.A. in English with 50%. I want to go through PhD programme. My age is now 52 years. How can I do PhD in English? Please show me way as per rule and regulation?

Sorry, 50% marks in M.A is not going to make you eligible for admission in a PH.D course in India. You maut have at least 55% marks to become eligible for admission and you need to have good score in entrance exam plus interview.

There is relaxation of 5% marks for candidate who belongs to reserved category. If you belong to reserved category then only you will become eligible for admission in a PH.D programme in India. Age is not a concern if you are applying for a research programme.

Sir I have done M.A English literature with 52% ..I belong from obc ( non creamy layer) category please tell me I eligible for m.phill ...

I have completed my B.ed in English with a first division from IGNOU in 2015. I have completed my MA English with 52% from IGNOU in 2007. Am I eligible to do Ph.D in English?
