Possibility to do PhD in Chemical Engineering for M.Tech(Civil Engineering) 2nd year candidate?


Hi team, I am doing M.Tech in 2nd year with Civil Engineering specialization. In future I want to do PhD in Chemical Engineering. So, is this possible for me or not as I am from different stream student.

Sorry, it is not possible to do PhD in Chemical Engineering after completion of MTech Civil Engineering. Candidates who have studied Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 60% marks are eligible to apply for the PhD in Chemical Engineering. Candidates have to appear for a research entrance test and interview for the selection. Candidates after completion of MTech in civil engineering can apply for PhD in civil engineering. Therefore, it is not possible to do PhD in chemical engineering for the MTech civil engineering students.
