I was enrolled for in the year 2008.I couid not submit the thesis due to ill health.If there any possibility for extention?

You need to contact the concerned department for the extension. If there is any chance of extension, then you need to submit the documents related to which you didn't submitted your thesis of previous date

It all depends on the university and they have full control on deciding, whether you will get an extension or not.
