Is it possible to do PhD in English Literature on 12th basis?
Hello,
I am under graduate I want do PhD on English Literature. So graduate is compulsory for that or on 12th base PhD is possible? Please guide me as soon as possible Thanks |

Sorry, 12th is not sufficient qualification for Ph.D admission. You must have at least a Master's degree in relevant discipline with at least 55% marks from a recognized University. For a reserved category candidates 50% marks in Master's degree is the minimum requirement. Hence, you have to study more if you want to get admission in a Ph.D program.
Merely having a Master's degree is not enough and you have to clear other exams like NET/SLET/JRF or any Ph.D entrance exam for getting admission. Those with M.Phil qualification or at least 5 years of professional experience in relevant field are also eligible for admission without any entrance exam. |
