Re: Should I write UGC or CSIR examination?
As far as I know you need only B.Tech to become eligible for CSIR NET examination. You are doing M.Tech and you are still thinking whether to go for CSIR NET then i think you are wasting your time. Just be prepared for the CSIT NET exam, if you have got 55% marks in your B.Tech degree from a recognized University.
So you can apply for CSIR NET if you want to become lecturer in government colleges. There is no age limit for lecturership but if you want JRF then you need to be 28 years old. For JRF there is age relaxation available for SC/ST/OBC and physically handicapped candidates. So, be prepared for CSIR NET exam as you will have to crack written examination then only you will be eligible for lecturership. You subject for CSIR NET will be Engineering Sciences.
